Next week’s Fallout 4 update brings exciting enhancements for PC players, focusing on improving the visual experience. The update introduces support for widescreen and ultra-wide monitors, allowing players to immerse themselves in the expensive land of the Commonwealth wasteland with panoramic views.
Additionally, Fallout 4 is now verified for the Steam Deck, enabling players to enjoy the game on portable, handheld devices.
Free Creation Club Packs
Alongside the update, three free Creation Club packs will be available to enrich the Fallout 4 experience. The Enclave Remnants pack introduces a new quest titled “Echoes of the Past,” along with Enclave-themed cosmetic items such as a colonel uniform, weapon and armour skins, the Tesla cannon, Hellfire Power Armor, X-02 Power Armor, and the Heavy Incinerator.
For fans of unconventional weaponry, the Makeshift Weapons Pack offers unique weapons like a baseball cannon crafted from a leaf blower, a modified nail gun, and a mini-nuke launcher repurposed to fire piggy banks. Additionally, the Halloween Workshop pack adds 38 Halloween-themed items for settlement decoration, perfect for setting the eerie atmosphere during spooky seasons or year-round if desired.
Mod Compatibility
Bethesda ensures that most existing mods will remain compatible with the new update, minimizing disruptions for the community. However, it acknowledges that certain PC mods reliant on version-specific content may experience some impact.
Despite this, Bethesda’s efforts aim to preserve the modding community’s experience as much as possible while introducing exciting new content and improvements to Fallout 4 on PC.
