Charles Robinson Reflects on CM Punk’s WWE Return and Dream Matches
“Well, for me personally CM Punk is one of my favorite guys, so I was very, very excited when he came back, you know? Had a tear in my eye. Why? Because I love CM Punk as a person. Period,” Robinson shared.
Robinson also entertained the idea of dream matches for Punk, playfully suggesting Punk facing his lookalike and hero, Ric Flair. Additionally, he mentioned potential exciting matchups with Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes.
“Yeah, that [Punk vs. Rhodes] would be good. Hey, let’s do that. I don’t know, maybe Seth, you know? Would be a great match. I think that would be a great, great match,” Robinson added.
Unfortunately, Punk’s WrestleMania XL plans were derailed when he suffered a triceps injury during the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble Match. Despite this setback, Punk remains a focal point of excitement for WWE fans, and his recovery progress has been eagerly anticipated.
After the April 26 episode of SmackDown, Punk addressed fans in attendance to provide an update on his injury status, keeping fans engaged and hopeful for his return to the ring.
