Drew McIntyre is pushing for a significant change in WWE RAW, expressing his thoughts on the current state of the brand and its need for transformation. McIntyre, who is part of the 2024 Men’s Elimination Chamber Match, where the winner will challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40, shared his views on recent developments.
Mockingly congratulating Cody Rhodes on his decision to face Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, McIntyre playfully acknowledged the progress made by The American Nightmare. However, he shifted his focus to Seth Rollins and the state of RAW during Thursday’s WrestleMania XL Kickoff Press Event.
McIntyre expressed his disappointment with Rollins, referring to him as the “forgotten name.” He criticized Rollins for allowing himself to be overshadowed and for not taking a stand against those talking down about the title and the locker room during the press conference.
In his remarks, McIntyre emphasized the need for change on RAW, asserting that Rollins is not up to the task mentally or physically. He mentioned Pat McAfee labeling Rollins as the “forgotten name” and called for a shift in leadership. McIntyre believes that the RAW brand requires a change, and he sees himself as the agent of that change.
The former WWE Champion expressed his conviction that he is the only one who has consistently told the truth and stuck to his convictions. McIntyre is determined to become the World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania, asserting that he is the original “Chosen One” who has been left at home while others claim the title.
As WrestleMania 40 approaches, McIntyre’s call for change sets the stage for potential shifts in the landscape of WWE RAW, making the Road to WrestleMania an intriguing journey for fans.
