During tonight’s State of Play, attendees were treated to an intriguing glimpse of Death Stranding 2, now officially titled “On the Beach,” confirming earlier speculations. The sequel was initially unveiled during the 2022 Game Awards through a puzzling trailer featuring Léa Seydoux and Norman Reedus.
The latest trailer, unveiled tonight, offers another serving of Hideo Kojima’s distinctive storytelling, presenting an enigmatic and epic battle that defies easy description.
Additionally, viewers were granted a brief preview of Elle Fanning’s character in Death Stranding 2, whose involvement was confirmed some time ago after a series of cryptic hints from Kojima (although widely anticipated).
Scheduled for release in 2025, a specific launch date for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach was not disclosed during the presentation. Notably, Troy Baker and Shioli Kutsuna are also featured in the upcoming sequel.
In other highlights from the State of Play event, audiences were given a glimpse of Stellar Blade and the PlayStation 5 and PC remaster of Until Dawn.
