Behavior Interactive has unveiled its latest collaboration for Dead by Daylight, and it’s a heavy metal extravaganza featuring none other than the iconic band Iron Maiden.
This partnership introduces Iron Maiden’s legendary mascot, Eddie, into the game through a collection of new outfits inspired by various iterations of Eddie over the years. The trailer showcases these looks, including The Dredge, The Doctor, The Deathslinger, and The Oni.
In addition to these menacing killer outfits, Dead by Daylight’s original Survivors will also get the chance to rock new Iron Maiden T-shirts.
Kirby Taylor, Dead by Daylight’s product manager, expressed excitement about this collaboration, stating, “What an incredibly exciting new collaboration for us to explore. Eddie is such an icon, and flipping through some of his famous appearances to see which Killers we could pair them with was a dream come true. We’re also glad our Survivors can get in on the fun with some killer tour t-shirts. A couple of those even have a little surprise as well, depending on the Survivor, but we’ll leave that up to players to find.”
The Iron Maiden Collection is now available for purchase in Dead by Daylight. Alongside the new cosmetic items, players who acquire items from the collection will also unlock the ability to listen to Iron Maiden’s Fear of the Dark while equipping any of these cosmetics in the match lobby, setting the mood for the intense challenges ahead.
This collaboration comes hot on the heels of the announcement of Dead by Daylight’s upcoming Chapter, All Things Wicked, set to launch on March 12th. Unlike previous chapters based on existing horror intellectual properties, All Things Wicked is an all-new original, promising an equally sinister experience.
Behaviour teased the new content, stating, “The new Killer, The Unknown, is one shrouded in mystery. Many have claimed to have answers regarding its identity and purpose, but they’ve never been alive long enough to share.”
Alongside the new Killer, players can expect a new Survivor named Sable Ward, whose quest for answers about her missing friend leads her straight into The Fog. All Things Wicked introduces a new map, Greenville Square, a town with a chilling history waiting to be explored.
