CM Punk took to his Instagram account to share updates on his recent tricep surgery, offering glimpses into the moments during and after the procedure. In a lighthearted twist, he couldn’t resist trolling Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and The Rock simultaneously.
During the WrestleMania XL Kickoff Press Conference, where he served as a panel member alongside Michael Cole, Pat McAfee, and Big E, Punk injected humor by suggesting he wanted to witness Cody Rhodes throwing a punch at The Rock while the latter gave him a stern look.
Amidst a series of posts featuring surgery snapshots, his beloved dog Larry, his wife AJ Lee, and more, Punk shared three particular stories.
One showcased Cody Rhodes, another featured The Rock and Roman Reigns, and the third incorporated Khloe Kardashian holding the WWE Golden Title, accompanied by the caption “Wrestling has more than one Royal family.”
The intention was clear—to humorously associate these three prominent figures with the Kardashian family, a move aimed at poking fun at them. A screenshot of the stories depicted Khloe Kardashian on the extreme right, clutching the WWE Golden Title.
Meanwhile, Drew McIntyre candidly addressed his ongoing issues with CM Punk, stemming from a real rift in the past. McIntyre, responsible for Punk’s injury, has not shied away from jesting about it.
Their altercation on RAW following the Royal Rumble 2024 hinted at a potential match later in the year.
In an interview with The West Sport, McIntyre admitted that their tension is rooted in genuine grievances:
“For me, everything has to be grounded in truth because if it’s real to me, it’s real to everybody else and you’ll feel it. And Punk and I did have issues when I was younger. All that stuff I said is true. I went in there and told him, ‘I’ve been through injuries. I’ve had moments taken away from me because of it. I can understand that.'”
As CM Punk recuperates, speculation swirls regarding major plans for WrestleMania 40.
