Bradley Riches, known for his stint on Celebrity Big Brother, has announced his engagement to partner Scott Johnston.
The actor, who also stars as James McEwan in the Netflix series Heartstopper, took to Instagram on Tuesday (April 9) to share the joyful news of their impending marriage.
“Erm…YES,” Riches wrote. “I never thought I’d find someone who gets me and loves me for me.
I have always struggled connecting my emotions in relationships and then @scottjohnston1.8 came. I felt safe and accepted and most importantly loved. I love you endlessly.”
The couple received warm congratulations from Bradley’s Celebrity Big Brother co-stars, with West End star Marisha Wallace expressing her joy:
“MY BABIES! Congratulations.”
CBB 2024 winner David Potts also joined in the celebration, exclaiming:
“OH MY GODDDDDDDDD AHHH CONGRATULATIONS BABY.”
“Congratulations to you both,” added Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, while Zeze Millz shared her excitement: “Awwwwww! Congratulations.”
Colson Smith, referring to their camaraderie in the CBB house, humorously anticipated their performance at the wedding:
“I cannot wait for the wash boys to sing at the wedding.”
The announcement of their engagement comes after Bradley shared a personal loss during his time in the Celebrity Big Brother house, as his grandfather passed away.
“He was strong, kind and funny. I love you so much,”
Riches said, fondly remembering his late grandfather.
Bradley has also opened up about the challenges during his stint on CBB, particularly in light of his autism diagnosis.
“I got my brain around it quite easily,” Riches explained. “I blocked off three weeks, and that was my routine and I expected the unexpected.
Once I was in that routine, I felt very comfortable and very open with everyone, I was on a roll.”
