Bronson Reed recently took to social media to address a concerning incident involving his fellow WWE star, Austin Theory, and a journalist in Australia.
Amid preparations for the Elimination Chamber event in Perth, Reed expressed his disappointment regarding the altercation. While Reed himself isn’t slated to compete, his tag team partner, Grayson Waller, is set to host “The Grayson Waller Effect” alongside Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.
The incident in question unfolded when Theory engaged in a heated dispute with Anthony De Ceglie, editor-in-chief of The West Australian, over wrestling’s authenticity. The disagreement escalated due to De Ceglie’s remarks labeling wrestling as “fake,” provoking a reaction from Theory.
Reacting to the situation, Reed voiced his sentiments on X/Twitter, emphasizing the need for respect towards professional wrestling in Australia. In his message, he underscored the importance of understanding the sport’s nuances and evolution, particularly within the country.
“As a proud Australian… our country needs to respect pro wrestling and get with the times and understand what we do. Disappointed. Stupid journos!”
wrote Reed, expressing his discontent with the incident.

Regarding his wrestling aspirations, Reed hinted at unresolved issues with Gunther, the Intercontinental Champion. Reflecting on their previous encounter on RAW, where Reed fell short in capturing the title, he expressed a desire for a rematch.
In an interview with Sportskeeda’s Emily Mae, Reed discussed his ongoing pursuit of challenging formidable opponents, including Seth Rollins, despite Rollins’ current injury status. However, Gunther remains a primary focus for Reed, citing “unfinished business” as the driving force behind his ambition.
Despite not securing a spot in the Elimination Chamber match, Reed’s determination remains steadfast. While his immediate future in WWE may be uncertain, Reed’s resolve to pursue championship opportunities and confront past rivals persists, leaving fans curious about what lies ahead for the Australian powerhouse.
