WWE appears to be keeping its distance from Brock Lesnar for the time being, with recent reports indicating that there are no immediate plans for Lesnar to make a return to in-ring action.
Following a troubling lawsuit filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant, The Beast Incarnate seemingly disappeared from the company’s radar.
While Lesnar wasn’t directly implicated in the lawsuit against Vince McMahon, he was indirectly referenced due to his past as a UFC Heavyweight Champion.
As a result, WWE gradually sidelined him from various upcoming events, including the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber. There were even rumored plans for Lesnar to square off against Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 40, but these were scrapped once the lawsuit became public knowledge.
According to a recent report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, a source within WWE has indicated that there’s currently no movement to reintegrate Brock Lesnar as an active performer.
In other news related to Lesnar’s past, legendary manager Paul Heyman is set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2024 during WrestleMania weekend in Philadelphia.
Heyman, who currently manages Roman Reigns but previously played a pivotal role in Lesnar’s career, recently opened up about why he initially declined a Hall of Fame induction while managing The Beast Incarnate.
In an interview with TMZ, Heyman explained that accepting the honor at that time would have overlooked his contributions to Reigns and The Bloodline. He felt it wouldn’t accurately reflect his full body of work.
“Well, I mean, imagine it this way, if I had accepted the award while I was The Advocate for Brock Lesnar and none of my work with Roman Reigns and The Bloodline was part of my Hall of Fame induction,” Heyman shared during the interview.
To be fair, Heyman’s work with The Bloodline has been widely regarded as some of the best of his entire career, showcasing his versatility and talent as a manager.
