The future of Brock Lesnar has become a focal point of discussions, especially after his removal from the Royal Rumble due to the controversy involving Janel Grant and Vince McMahon.
Reports also suggest that Lesnar’s WrestleMania 40 plans have been canceled, and he has been excluded as a playable character in the WWE 2K24 video game.
While an official departure from WWE hasn’t been confirmed, speculations abound that The Beast Incarnate is unlikely to return. In the aftermath of his potential exit, questions arise about Lesnar’s next move.
Former RAW General Manager, Eric Bischoff, shared his insights on the 83 Weeks podcast, proposing that Lesnar’s probable course of action would be a return to Japan.
Bischoff casts doubt on a UFC comeback, given the negative publicity. As a former IWGP World Champion, Lesnar could make a triumphant return to Japan, reclaiming his status as a wrestling megastar.
One intriguing prospect could be a face-off between The Beast Incarnate and two-time WWE World Champion Dolph Ziggler (Nic Nemeth), the current holder of the IWGP Global Championship in NJPW.
In regards to Lesnar’s future, Bischoff expressed skepticism about a return to WWE or the UFC. Lesnar’s removal from the 2024 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event further hints at the likelihood of his absence from WWE.
Bischoff postulates that Lesnar’s motivation for a wrestling comeback appears lacking, suggesting the former champion is more interested in focusing on his farm. The prospect of a return to Japan seems more plausible than a UFC return, according to Bischoff.
“I sincerely doubt we’ll see him in the UFC anytime again. It’s the same company, [and the] same people that are involved, so that’s not gonna happen,”
Bischoff asserted. Unless an unforeseen development occurs, Bischoff dismisses the idea of a scenario where Lesnar is welcomed back to the UFC.
Lesnar’s last match at SummerSlam 2023 against Cody Rhodes, despite a loss, showcased a display of sportsmanship as he raised Rhodes’ hand. Recent events suggest that this bout might mark Lesnar’s final appearance in WWE.
