Baron Corbin has finally broken his six-year championship dry spell, securing gold once again in WWE.
Since his return to NXT, Corbin has been driven by a singular goal. Initially aiming for the NXT Championship, he shifted focus to the tag team scene after coming up short against Ilja Dragunov.
Teaming up with Bron Breakker, Corbin embarked on a quest for the NXT Tag Team Championship. Their journey began with Corbin persuading Breakker to enter the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament, a decision that proved fortuitous.
Dominating their opposition throughout the tournament, Corbin and Breakker emerged victorious, earning a shot at the reigning champions, Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorezo.

Prior to their championship match, Corbin reminded Breakker of their shared objective and emphasized his hunger for gold, having endured six long years without a championship reign in WWE.
Their title bout showcased the duo’s cohesion and resilience. Despite facing adversity, including Breakker crashing through the announcer’s desk, they rallied to secure victory, with Breakker sealing the win with a Spear on Stacks.
With this triumph, Corbin ends his championship drought, the last title he held being the United States Championship. However, Breakker’s trajectory seems to be pointing towards the main roster, leaving uncertainty regarding the duo’s future as champions.
