Advance bookings for Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi film “Kalki 2898 AD” are very high, with over 77,000 tickets sold in North America, totaling $2.6 million. The film’s distributor, Prathyangira Cinemas, shared this success on social media, showing strong interest in the movie.
Prabhas, the film’s lead actor, is attracting many fans, contributing to the high ticket sales. Promotional materials emphasize that his performance will be a highlight, suggesting the film will do well at the box office.
At a pre-release event in Mumbai, Rana Daggubati talked to Kamal Haasan about director Nag Ashwin’s ability to make such a film. Kamal Haasan praised Ashwin, comparing him to his mentor who also did great things despite looking ordinary.
Kamal Haasan, who plays the villain in the movie, talked about his character, describing him as a wise yet evil figure. He also mentioned the effort to perfect his character’s appearance, which involved input from co-star Deepika Padukone.
“Kalki 2898 AD” stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani. Set in a future where people fight for resources, the film will be released on June 27.
