Eschatology Entertainment, a game development studio, has successfully secured $11.3 million in Series A funding, with Krafton leading the round. This significant investment aims to support the launch of their debut title, a Souls-like first-person shooter set in an apocalyptic Wild West setting.
The new funding comes in addition to the $4 million previously invested by GEM Capital and The Games Fund in 2022, which helped to kickstart the studio’s initial development and staffing.
The fresh capital will be instrumental in advancing the studio’s vision for their first game, which promises to offer a rich and immersive experience with its atmospheric world and challenging gameplay. Co-founder Fuad Kuliev emphasized that the investment represents more than just financial backing; it is a collaborative effort that will enable the studio to fully realize their ambitious project.
Krafton VP Maria Park expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting Eschatology Entertainment’s potential and the innovative nature of their ideas. Krafton’s support, along with the ongoing contributions from GEM Capital and The Games Fund, will provide the necessary resources to bring the studio’s vision to fruition.
Founded in 2022 by industry veterans Fuad Kuliev, Dmytro Kostiukevych, Boris Nikolaev, and Viktor Antonov, Eschatology Entertainment draws on the experience of its team members, who have previously worked with notable studios such as Valve and Wargaming. This funding round positions them well for a promising future in the gaming industry.
